Claire is Group CPO and part of the Co-op leadership team. Procurement supports the whole Co-op Group including Retail, NISA, Logistics, Funeral Care, Life Services and Support Centres as well as the end to end risk management for Goods Not for Resale spend. With strong commercial delivery as a given, there is also a significant focus on supporting the Co-op vision of Co-operating for a Fairer World through their commercial relationships with their supplier partners.
Having over 20 years’ experience in Procurement, working in and with different markets, Claire is passionate about building successful, challenging and co-operative partnerships.
An accomplished International Executive, with expertise in Operations management. Specialising in Supply Chain, Purchasing Multi Country Transformation and Change. Stephen has led a number of operational transformations and new business model development supporting enterprise wide evolution from product to services and software revenue models. Experience in the implementation of innovative approaches to existing business model’s , to create new growth opportunities, and service improvements, through the power oft he supply chain.
Recently joined Bain Capital portfolio company, Kantar, setting up a greenfield purchasing capability and transformation. Prior to that, Steve worked at Pearson PLC, the global publishers, and for several years at Vodafone, were he participated in the set up, and eventual board membership of the Vodafone Procurement Company in Luxembourg.
Steve is married, has 4 children, and holds an MBA from the University of Birmingham.
Duncan has over 30 years procurement experience as a change driver working with senior executives and procurement leadership teams in the design and mobilisation of business-wide procurement processes & delivering improved business benefits. He’s had a specific interest throughout his career on implementing category management and developing the skills and capabilities of procurement teams.
His procurement experience comes from working for Ford, Mars, Black & Decker, NTL (now Virgin Media) and RSA. As a senior consultant he worked for QP Group and Future Purchasing with clients such as Diageo, Barclays & Nestlé.
Duncan Brock is a member of the leadership team of CIPS. His main role is to ensure that CIPS provides its corporate and public sector customers globally with products and services that help them develop and improve their procurement and supply team’s capability. In addition, he is responsible for increasing the number of offices and partners that CIPS has globally, with a particular focus this year on the USA.
As a vice president, Julian leads business development for GEP’s services business in Europe.
Julian's career of more than 30 years includes strategy, enterprise procurement transformation, category management and strategic sourcing (direct and indirect), analytics and change management, with the past two decades primarily focused on strategy, business planning, and transforming source-to-pay functions across multiple industries in the private and public sectors.
Before joining GEP, Julian held senior and executive-level roles in industry verticals, management consulting, and managed and digital services. His experience includes becoming an owner-partner of a successful management consultancy, managing director of a technology and S2P managed services business, Europe consulting leader for IBM and, more recently, global leader for consulting, technology and managed services at Genpact.
In addition to his success in driving business growth, Julian has worked with many clients to help solve their complex enterprise problems through the design and implementation of integrated S2C-P2P-AP transformations and ongoing managed services. He has won several awards, including the MCA Innovation Award, for his record of business development, performance improvement and innovation. He is a member of CIPS and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce.
Married with four children, Julian lives in Southeast England. He enjoys sailing, kayaking and hiking, though he is most passionate about spending time with his family.
